Working on the musical: set design

A few days ago I spent an afternoon after school building sets for Return to the Forbidden Planet. This entailed me nailing and gluing pieces of the backdrop together. I must admit that it is a very strenuous process that I did not expect. Now I see how much work is put into the making of a play, particularly all the hours that go into making the set.
